The IIMS Canada Branch has its own constitution and operates independently, yet under the umbrella and with the support of the IIMS Head Office in the UK and its resources.
The aim of the IIMS Canada Branch is to promote the practice of marine surveying throughout Canada and to support its members locally. Furthermore it seeks to develop and enhance the competency and knowledge of its members through the provision of education, training and seminars, events and networking opportunities.

The branch operates under the direction of a Regional Director and is managed by a Chairman and supporting committee:
