DESCRIPTION:IIMS Canada is holding a one day Small Craft Seminar in Vanc
 ouver on 3rd of December. Captain Ian Hopkinson\, MIIMS\, will deliver 
 comprehensive training session in field on small craft marine surveying. S
 eminar will cover various types of marine surveys and differences in req
 uirements\,  use of the writer's Condition &amp\; Details form in small c
 raft surveys and advantages &amp\; disadvantages of those. Ian will also 
 cover the requirements of a survey and why it is necessary for the survey
 or to know exactly the reason a survey is requested. Aspects of electroly
 sis\, bonding\, through hull fittings\, gate valves and sea cocks will be 
 also discussed. Seminar will include art of estimation of the replacemen
 t\, market values and various ways of achieving accurate results.  Errors
  and Omission Insurance aspects will be discussed with valuable input pre
 sented by guest speakers\;  John King\, CIP – Senior Vice President of
  Aon Risk Solution  and  Maritime Lawyer David F. McEwen\, Q.C. who has
  over 40 years’ experience in all areas of maritime\, admiralty and mari
 ne insurance disputes. He has had extensive experience at all levels of C
 anadian courts\, including the British Columbia Court of Appeal\, the Fede
 ral Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Mr. McEwen’s prefer
 red areas of practice include marine insurance coverage disputes\, tug and
  tow issues\, marine insurance subrogation\, recoveries for cargo damage o
 r loss\, marine casualties (including collisions and personal injuries) an
 d yacht construction disputes.\n\nIIMS Members and guests from the BC\,
